01/14/08 Golden Track Album Gets 2007 Grammy Nomination!
An album entirely recorded, mixed, and mastered at Golden Track Recording Studio was nominated for a 2007 Grammy Award! The album was in the top 5 nominees for its category, and we are proud to have been a part of recording the project. Steve Wetherbee worked exclusively recording, mixing, and mastering on this project, and is currently looking for up and coming bands to continue this success, you can learn more about him in our 'staff' section. Just one more example of how we are the top San Diego recording studio.
10/21/07 Neumann Microphones Chooses Golden Track Again
Once again Neumann, manufacturer of the world’s best recording microphones, chose Golden Track Recording Studio to demo their microphone line for San Diego.The event was hosted by Emmy nominee Mike Pappas, and some of the world’s best musicians were brought in to demonstrate the recording quality of their microphones. Among them were drummer Jonathan “Sugarfoot” Moffett , (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Diana Ross, Elton John, Janet Jackson) as well as bassist “Bunny” Brunel, (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Tony Williams, Al Jarreau) . Ranging from Rock to World Music, were glad to have been a part of all nominees success. Recording artist P.O.D. was nominated for Best Song Of The Year, Daredevil Jane and Reeve Oliver were nominated for Best Rock group, the Karl Denson Trio was nominated for Best Jazz, The Fremonts for Best Blues, Al Howard and the K23 Orchestra, Elijah Emanuel & the Revelations, Kush & Jah Blood Fiyah Angels, and Stranger for Best World Music, And The Strangers Six were nominated for recording the best Rock Album. We are thrilled to see so many of these outstanding San Diego recording artists get nominated, and we are glad to have contributed to their success by bringing them the best recording , mixing, and mastering in San Diego.
